I want to encourage you to allow yourself to simply experience the beauty life offers us every day,to find joy in giving, be grateful for what we have and find meaning  in everyday moments that make up our lives.    We hear people talk a lot about having an attitude of gratitude, but instead of thinking of it as something else we have to do, simply relax and pay attention to what is happening in the present moment.\n

Are you mindlessly going through the motions of your life blinded by the familiar and no longer actually seeing the beauty of the people and the world around you?   Don’t miss the miracle of the moment.  Our perception is a function of our mind (not something external) and the result of how we choose to use our own consciousness.   Thus how we see the world is not a function of our eyes but our heart.    It is our choice how we “see” the people and circumstances we encounter.     In reality, circumstances are essentially neutral and only seem good or bad according to how we choose to experience them.

\nMake the choice to refrain from reacting and look for the gift in the challenges that life presents us.      We are easily preoccupied with what happened yesterday or what’s supposed to be happening tomorrow, that we miss out on the extraordinary moments of the day.   So seize the opportunity to interact with unique and talented people and share your appreciation of life.    See with your heart and your life will be transformed.\n\nAdapted from an article in Catalyst for Conscious Living Vision Magazine, Richard Kahn of the Self-Realization Fellowship, November 2010.
