Any business owner  knows that vacations quickly become illusive.  Time off?  What’s that?  There is always more to do to serve their customers and grow their businesses. Suddenly I found myself in the same boat as many of the clients I had counseled about work/life balance.\n\nI left a corporate job with a generous vacation package of four weeks annually.  Like clockwork I took a week off per quarter to recharge my batteries and revitalize my spirit. This practice helped sustain an 18 year run of hard work and engagement at that company.  I have coached many people over the years on the importance of taking time off even going so far as actually helping employees pick and calendar the time, and I knew I needed to practice what I preach.\n\nSo we are off to Park City, Utah and Zion National Park. I am packing hiking  shoes, mountain bike and sunscreen and leaving my laptop and Blackberry behind.  I am entrusting my business to my capable assistant, I know whatever happens he can handle and I can relax and  enjoy my vacation. I know that I will return refreshed and renewed, full of inspiration and energy to pour back into my business. It’s a win, win.\n\nZion
