In a recent session on strategic thinking with a group of 20 senior leaders, one of the themes was creating space to “pause” and actually have time to think.\n\nWhen asked participants said the first thing they do when they get into the office is spend time checking email.  When you check email whose priorities are you usually serving?  The other person.   So we suggested that instead of coming into the office and working on other people’s priorities, that they should dedicate the first 30 minutes of the day to work on one of their own priorities.\n

It’s not that there is not enough time in the day, we just have to be willing to make the time to do the work that is most important – including time to think creatively and strategically.  Simple but powerful.  Ready, set – go!
